Hybrid copper-fibre cables combined under one jacket allows the installer to run power, control and data in one cable run which can save on cost and time in the installation process. Various constructions can be made which offer unlimited flexibility.

Hybrid v Composite

Although ‘Hybrid’ and ‘Composite’ cables are sometimes used interchangeably, a hybrid cable combines two or more cables of dissimilar transmission media - for example, metallic and fibre. A composite cable combines two or more cables of the same transmission medium - for example, all metallic or all fibre.

Design and Compounds

Due to the nature of the marine environment exacting standards need to be met to ensure safety and reliability. Our hybrid cables use high performance low smoke zero halogen materials in accordance with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards and DNV Type test approval.
