Sam Cox and Tom Ward will make their return to the Pirelli National Superstock Championship this season onboard the new look Armada Marine Cables Honda 1000RR.
Sam has had a set back to the start of his season after an accident whilst testing, resulting in him breaking his back. Surgery was successful and he is hoping to only miss the first few rounds.
In Sam’s absence, Tom Ward will be standing in for him for the start of the season.
Cox said: “I am really happy to be returning to the championship. We had a great winter test program planned, but unfortunately took a setback when I got injured whilst testing in Spain. I am hoping to be back to full fitness soon and ready to push forward and progress in the class. This couldn’t be possible without the continued backing of my loyal sponsors Armada Marine Cables, Belcom Cables, Zyrad and Echelon Group.
Ward said:” I am really excited to get the opportunity to race in the National Superstock class again, where I have had some great results in the past. The circumstances in which the ride came about aren’t great, but Sam and I are great friends, and we are hoping this could become a great partnership in the Armada Marine Cables Honda team going forward.
All at Armada Marine Cables Honda wish Sam a speedy recovery and are looking forward to continuing our support of his racing career.
